The book, a succession of white pages bound with thread, provides the space in which images appear in succession.
From 1971 to 2005 he has created thirty-two Artist’s Books and a library: Book Works.
Book Works is a collection of 71 volumes organised under eighteen titles, which are contained in fifteen
sculptures made of travertine stone; together they form a library of images, signs and shapes, in a thousand
sheets using pencil, pencil dust, inks and tempera, colours and metals, collages and threads, engraving and
dry-point, on Rosaspina, Cotton and Roma paper by Fabriano.
Book Works diversified into a continuum of mutually connected images. It was begun in 1980 but was made in
different times and places: in 1985 it acquired its present shape; it was later completed and signed in 2005.
