It first appeared as an imprint in 1979 as a result of contact between a cut-out shape with fresh Black Enamel.
It exists in various dimensions and techniques: Pencil, Engraving, Ink, and Graphite Dust, and reaches its synthesis
in the linear emblem, logo, stamp and trademark of the artist.
Figure later occupied spaces outside painting, and invaded the three-dimensional space of Labyrinth.
It acquired form when painted on the drumhead of Omphalos and so entered the dimension of sound.
It materialised in Dust, and became the subject of temporary installations.
With the making of Coin and of Jewels, the effigy of Figure becomes an attractive object and takes on the
connotations of a symbol, a unifying image, almost the epitome of the work.
