He explores the techniques of lithography, etching, dry-point, mezzotint, soft-ground etching, burin, aquatint,
with black ink, violet, sepia, gold, silver, copper, iron, and dry-print.
From 1976 to 2004 he engraved fifty-six plates, in zinc and copper, and has published nineteen editions of engravings.
The editions are characterised by the uniqueness of each copy, obtained by direct interventions before, during,
and after the process of printing of the plates.
Book Works contains the extreme results of this practice of variation, down to the disappearance of the ink.
Since 1988 he has been using the printing press to create dry impressions and traces of shapes, objects,
and imprints on the edge of the visible.
